I have experience of middle and small-scale touring, regional theatre, children's theatre, schools' touring, West End, opera, television and film and radio. I am very much a physical/movement-oriented actor with strong storytelling skills.

Theatre companies include: The Royal Exchange, Oxford Stage Company, Oldham Coliseum, Liverpool Playhouse, Sheffield Crucible, Ipswich Playhouse, Contact, Lancaster Dukes, Salisbury Playhouse, Unicorn, Bath Theatre Royal, Theatre Workshop Edinburgh, Theatre Centre, Glyndebourne Opera, Polka, Vienna’s English Theatre.


Television includes single dramas, drama series, presenting children’s television.

More recently I’ve worked for Watershed Productions, Prime Theatre, The Oxford Playhouse, Groundswell Theatre Company, Polka Theatre, Reading Rep, returning to The Oxford Playhouse last Christmas.  This summer saw me working on a music video for Rolo Tomassi - A Flood of Light


I trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama on the Professional Acting Diploma course.

In 2006 I successfully undertook a PGCE at the Institute of Education and went on to complete an MA in Screenwriting at The University of the Arts in 2010.


I have experience of classical, contemporary, educational, devised and pantomime.
Companies include: Vienna’s English Theatre, Contact Theatre- Manchester, Theatre Royal – Bury St. Edmunds, Dockyard Theatre Company, Molecule Theatre of Science, Forest Forge, British Council. Watford Palace YPT, East 15, Mountview Theatre School, Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, Oxford School of Drama.  I also worked as assistant and movement director for Oxford Stage Company.

In Autumn 2019 I will direct Pretty Shrewd, an adaptation of The Taming of the Shrew, for Vienna’s English Theatre  touring to schools and colleges around Austria.

Having taught and directed in a freelance capacity at various drama schools I became Head of Acting at ALRA (Academy of Live and Recorded Arts) in London in 2004, becoming Co-Director of the school four years later. I was instrumental in transferring the Acting Diploma courses to BA (Hons) and MA programmes which were validated by St Mary’s University Twickenham. With my Co-Director, Adrian Hall, I founded ALRA North in Wigan for which the school won a TMA nomination for services to regional theatre and The Stage 100 Award for school of the year.

I teach: Script analysis, story-telling, improvisation and mask, and audition technique.

I have a PGCE (Post compulsory) in Performing Arts and have a current enhanced DBS certificate
